Background
Physical Description
A bit shorter than your average male Keeper of the Moon, Nico has the body of a scholar, so his strength often surprises most. There are no visible scars that one can see from his appearance, but he is often found with bags under his eyes that are more like the suitcases of a man looking to skip town. He most often looks dazed and lost in thought, like his mind is elsewhere most of the time. This often leads him to bump into anything in his path. That might be why he is rarely found in a crowded place.
Nico’s hair is platinum, often disheveled and forgotten. His eyes are an aqua that feels like the calm sea but, oftentimes, are uneasy with a stormfront. He can quite often be found with books, as he is fond of them, and his demeanor looks like that of someone who engages in a written dialogue over a spoken one. That isn’t to say that he can’t hold a conversation if you happen to keep his interest. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of someone who is easily brushed over, either. You’ll find yourself questioning the motive behind a very dry-wit comment or two well after he has moved past them.
He is often quick to guard himself, but he does not mind company. Truthfully, he looks as though he has been longing for it for quite some time.

Professional Healer - Nico will accompany just about anyone into the dangerous unknown to get a wider breadth of knowledge of how Aether affects nature and living things. This means he’s willing to tag along on any adventures as “research excursions”. His healing abilities usually make him a prime candidate.
Widower - It’s no small rumor that Nico lost his husband. How recently he went missing may depend on who you ask. He’s always looking for leads to find him. Some say the man is dead, others might even hint that he went willingly. He would be willing to pay anything for good, reliable information on where Mirran can be found.
Informant Nico seems to be asking a lot of questions about the Garleans lately. That could easily be chalked up to his recent research into ceruleum and magitek. Or maybe not.
Cafe/Tavern Patron - Sometimes studying at home can be too stifling. After all, you can’t be a professor of life itself without engaging with the living. Sometimes it can simply be to find a more lively spot to read or just to blow off steam with some company, but Nico’s attention can usually be stolen quite efficiently with a curious tale.
Academic of Nature - You are much more likely to find Nico in the forest or by the sea than anywhere else. You are also much more likely to keep his company if you stay there with him.
